THE SHOPPING BIBLE:
a one-stop-shop for every fashion want and need
3/3/25
A question that keeps coming: “where should I shop?” The fashion landscape is always evolving, so this list will too. As my Dad likes to joke - shopping is my religion - so here is my bible.
LUXURY
NOTES
MY THOUGHTS: By no means do these brands encompass the full scope of the luxury fashion landscape. I believe luxury fashion should be a personal experience - separate mere brand name as justification for your purchase and uncover your stylistic inclinations. This list is comprised of luxury brands whom I each value for a different reason, weather it be their mastery of a specific product type or design. All the love to the single-label cult followers of our beloved fashion houses, but i’m approaching things a bit differently.
OF SPECIAL NOTE: Saint Laurent tailoring, Ralph Lauren suede and denim, The Row everything, Khaite bags, Isabel Marant jackets and boots, Prada bags, Margiela’s MM6 line, Gucci Jackie Bag and collaborations, Jacquemus ready-to-wear, Balenciaga City and Rodeo bags, Missoni spring/summer collections, Miu Miu bag accessories, JPG mesh, Moncler Genius line
HIGH-END
NOTES
MY THOUGHTS: This sector of the fashion space is one I hold a special love for. As I advanced my fashion education over the years, I found much more gratification in investing in staple pieces at higher price points rather than a slew of quick-to-purchase lower cost items. Now let me be clear that more expensive does not necessarily = better, however the designs currently emerging from this corner of the fashion world are what’s making me excited. Brands at this level know who they are while still maintaining a level of experimentation that keeps consumers on our toes.
OF SPECIAL NOTE: Acne Studios prints, Bode everything, Wales Bonner everything, Paloma Wool bottoms, Diesel prints and motifs, The Frankie Shop suiting, Sandy Liang outerwear, Issey Miyake tops, Nili Lotan barrel bottoms, JW Anderson everything, Kid Super jackets
OF SPECIAL MENTION: Kolovrat is a brand I found while living in Lisbon. Lidijia, the designer, draws inspiration from travel and culture to craft her designs. While the full experience is best felt by visiting her studio in Lisbon, her online presence tells the story of her work.
EVERYDAY
NOTES
MY THOUGHTS: There is a never-ending stream of brands popping up in this category. There are treasures to find in the basics, but take some time to explore the smaller emerging brands as well. Another large note which applies to not only this section but all of my fashion endeavors is to not be constricted by gendered clothing. One of my favorite ways to shop is in the men’s section. You wear the clothing - it doesn’t wear you - so make it what you want it to be.
OF SPECIAL NOTE: Oddli custom tees, Free People button downs, Jaded London belts, Sundae School fleeces, Donni skirts, JW Pei patterns, American Vintage sweaters, Damson Madder outerwear, Adidas ready-to-wear, Skims loungewear, Comme Si silk pants, COS sweaters, Elwood basics
JEWELRY
NOTES
MY THOUGHTS: This is a long one. Before I fully understood how to express myself with clothes, I did it with jewelry. The long lasting tangibility of jewelry coupled with it’s ability to transform even the most simple outfit makes it my favorite accessory. Weather its bold, dainty, colorful, or (my favorite) vintage, each piece can tell a story on its own or join with others to craft a different image. Half of the jewelry I wear is passed down from my grandparents and mom (who first inspired my love of jewelry). While I can’t locate the exact origins of these pieces, I’ve spent a lot of time exploring new places to find pieces to couple with them.
OF SPECIAL NOTE: Simuero everything, Starling gem and revival rings, Alana Maria pearl accents, Vanessa Mooney necklaces, Haricot Vert whimsical pieces, SC Collection waist chains, Mejuri staples, Uno de 50 silver, The M Jewelers personalized pieces, Catbird dainty pieces, Chan Luu earrings, Remeinz lariat, Cajal glass jewelry, Jenny Bird cuffs and bangles, Phoenix Roze initial pieces, Maria Tash simple hoops
OF SPECIAL MENTION: If I were looking to revive or rework a vintage piece, Starling is where I would go. They can take any stone and re-imagine it into a beautiful and modern custom creation.

MY THOUGHTS: Personally, nothing beats the rush of finding a one-of-a-kind and unique vintage piece. In recent years, I have grown tired of seeing the same designs on repeat in the mass market - I escape this boredom rummaging through the racks of a vintage store. While thrift and curated vintage entail two different types of shopping, they both hold an element of mystery to what you will find. This is without a doubt my favorite way to shop and where I have found some of my most cherished pieces.
OF SPECIAL NOTE: Don’t be a surface-level RealReal shopper - you get to the good stuff when you dig - don’t settle for the homepage call-outs for season sales. Depop can be most successful when you go in with a goal - identify what you want to find and spend some time searching. Especially when it comes to leather bags, I find my favorite kinds are those which have been worn and broken in. While we are here to talk about clothes, don’t overlook vintage decor and furniture. My first ever big-girl purchase was a cheetah and red leather Fendi baguette - go for the gusto.
ACCESSORIES
NOTES
MY THOUGHTS: Accessories beyond jewelry are a category I am still getting a grasp on. That being said, the addition of a pair of sunglasses or the right style of loafer can change the game. Many brands I have listed in previous categories also fall under this one, so don’t refrain from searching around their websites.
OF SPECIAL NOTE: Bonnie Clyde clear lens glasses, Akila colored lens glasses, Gentle Monster collaborations, Loeffler Randall loafers, A.S.98 boots, Dragon Diffusion everything
MISCELLANEOUS
NOTES
MY THOUGHTS: While these brands may not be directly fashion-based, they all feel adjacent to me. I’ll save my deep dive into beauty products for another day, but I’ve included some of my favorite scents here because I believe perfume is the final accessory for any outfit. And why not make your sheet set-up an extension of your fashion taste? After all - its clothing for your bed. These bits and pieces are final touches on how I think of designing a lifestyle.
OF SPECIAL NOTE: Malin + Goetz everything, Baccarat Rouge (basic but so good), Moleskin hard cover journals, Hommey robes, FP Movement fleeces
